Our mission also involves supporting diverse groups, including black ethnic minorities, women, young people (16-24 years old), migrant families, and those facing digital exclusion.
Role and responsibilities
As an Human resource Assistant, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive work environment and supporting our team. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the recruitment process to onboard new employees.
- Handling complaints and disciplinary procedures with fairness and professionalism.
- Providing advice on sickness absence, performance, and employment relations.
- Planning and implementing employee training and development programs.
- Ensuring employees receive appropriate pay and benefits. Arranging essential support services like welfare and counseling for employees.
- Staying up-to-date with equality, health, and safety laws.
- Developing HR policies, handbooks, and procedures.
- Maintaining confidential employee records with utmost discretion.
Experience
While prior experience in Human resource, administration, or business is desirable, it is not essential for this role.
Skills and competencies
To excel in this position, you should possess the following skills and competencies:
- Good computer skills and proficiency in Google Workspace. Basic knowledge of Human resource rules and regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Outstanding communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.
