A pilot initiative focused on tackling digital exclusion by conducting in-depth research to understand specific barriers and developing effective, accessible training materials. The programme aims to empower individuals with the essential digital skills necessary for everyday life, work, and community connection.
About the programme
Problem statement
Many people face social and economic exclusion because they lack the essential digital skills needed to access vital services, job opportunities, and information, thereby widening the digital divide.
Proposed solution
The EDS Programme is running a pilot research study to gather detailed data on the specific needs of target user groups. This data will inform future accessible training resources. We are actively recruiting participants for surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions, and promoting the pilot to raise awareness and facilitate sign-ups.
